The NTA is responsible for conducting the NEET exam all over the country. Age limit for NEET 2022:

  • Talking about the neet exam age limit, the upper age limit should be 25 years as of December 31, for the year of admission for the candidate belonging to the general category.
  • students belonging to all the categories, the lower age limit students are 17 years as of December 31 of the year of admission.
  • For the reserved candidates, the maximum age limit is 30 years as on December 31, of the year of admission

Qualification for NEET 2022

NEET Entrance Qualification 2022: The candidate appearing for the NEET exam should have passed the class 12 board exam from some recognized board and should have physics, chemistry, biology/ Biotechnology, and English as the main subjects. The candidates, who will be appearing for the board exam in the year 2022 along with the above, mentioned subjects can also apply for the NEET exam.

Physically Handicapped Criteria in NEET 2022

  • In 15% all India UG quota, 3% horizontal reservation for physically handicapped candidates
  • Candidates having 50-70% locomotor disability in the lower limb will be given reservation
  • Candidates need to produce the disability certificate
  • The minimum marks for the physically handicapped category will be 45% instead of general category candidates

 

NEET Eligibility Criteria for State Quota

The main point to be kept in mind is that around 85% of MBBS/BDS seats will be reserved for NEET states quota counselling. The remaining seat i.e. 15% will be kept for central level counselling (All India counselling). Below given are the points for neet criteria 2022 for state quota:

  • The candidate should be the resident of the respective state
  • The candidate should have proper proof of their residency in the state
  • The candidate should have mandatorily completed/pursuing their schooling (class 12) from the respective state.

  • The students appearing for the NEET exam should be a citizen of Kota.
  • The minimum age of the candidate who wishes to appear for the paper should be 18 year
  • In the case of the general category the upper age limit is kept to be 25 years, while in the case of reserved candidates be it SC/ST, relaxation of 5 years is given, this means the reserved candidates can appear for the NEET exam up to the age of 30 years.
  • In case the candidates belong to any of the following states

              (a) Telangana
              (b) Andhra Pradesh,
              (c) Jammu & Kashmir
