NTA likely to conduct NEET twice a year from 2021

NTA is expected to offer a gift to the medical aspirants soon. Reports say the agency is likely to make a decision on holding the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) admission test for medical courses twice a year from 2021.

A large number of students have been demanding to conduct NEET twice a year.

However, the plan is still at the initial stage and waiting for approval by the Ministry of Health. If the health ministry approves the proposal it will give one more attempt to improve their score. After the recent announcement of holding JEE Main 2020 two times per year, there was a persistent demand for conduct NEET twice a year.

NTA director Vineet Joshi acknowledged the communication received from corner to corner of the country. There will be no change in the neet exam dates or patterns for 2020 even if the plan to conduct the medical entrance exam twice will be accepted.

The change regarding conduct NEET twice a year can only come in force in 2021. So, students need not worry about the frequency and prepare for MBBS/BDS scheduled on May 3, 2020 (Sunday).
