Thermodynamics by NJ Sir
Thermodynamics is the scientific study of work, heat, and the related properties of chemical and mechanical systems. It defines macroscopic variables such as temperature, entropy, and pressure that describe average properties of material bodies and radiation, and explains how they are related and by what laws they change with time. It does not describe the microscopic constituents of matter, and its laws can be derived from statistical mechanics.
NJ Sir is of the view that concepts of thermodynamics are very important as they are required to understand the energy, work and entropy involvements in a process. Moreover, it forms an important component in various national level engineering entrance examinations.
